Syncronauts and volks,

Thanks for the quick and helpful responses.  I'll troubleshoot the tank
and O-ring Friday morning using my spares from the 87 Wolfy parts van
for the process of elimination.  If it is the tank, I'll use the spare
for a while and buy a new one.

Will report back - hopefully with problem solved.
