I agree with Frank whole heartedly. Perhaps since I come from an "air cooled" heritage, I've never much minded the fact that it takes a bit longer to get from where I am to where I want to go. We love our 5-speed 83 d'sel westy and wouldn't trade him for a gas powered westy.....ever!

While Frank states that he is saddened by the bad rap on the list about d'sels, I for one just chuckle when I read the comments and then, quoting that famous philosopher, Mr. T, I mutter....."I pity the fools!" ;-)
