Subject: Fuse Inquiry/Strange Wipers
Content-Type: text/html

I changed all of my fuses. Seems like my dash is just a bit brighter or I'm imagining it (both lights are new in the dash [for rpms and mph] and were in before the fuse change). Around the same time frame I also noticed the nuts holding on my wipers were rusty, so I sprayed some WD 40 on them.

So last night, it wasn't raining, but I accidently turned on my wipers and they started flopping around like dead fish hitting the windshield. Okay, I know they might be lose so I took them off and the right side wiper (which at the end of the flopping was completely non-moving) didn't seem loose, it was hard to pull off.

So my question is, can WD 40 slip past the body and the metal part the wipers attach to and wreak havoc on your wiper motor and/or connections???????

Also, I have a 20 amp fuse on the wiper switch, and a 10 amp fuse on the wiper (front) motor. Are these correct? There aren't any indications in my vanagon for what the fuses ought to be.

Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
