My wife and I are getting closer to actually committing (or being committed) to doing this fly west, buy camper (WA), see daughter get married (again) (SW OR), abuse brother on half century of living event (MT), drive like less than leisurely across the rest of the country to NC. So, if we start in Seattle around the 25th of June, spend 3-4 days in North Bend, OR around the 30 th of June, and spend a couple days in Helena, MT around the 6-7 th of July, what else should be do, who else should be meet. Oh and we want to be in NC by mid week. Did I mention that the camper may well be a diesel?

So, any help, the north west is the great unknown to us. I know we are crazy, but we will have return airline tickets with strategic stop over cities. Any suggestions of routing, must see places, great camping opportunities. New friends we should meet.

Any and all tips would be greatly appreciated? This thing is still a ways from happening, and at this point we could sure use your help in letting us know why it should.

Here's hoping that we pull this off and meet many of you before mid July. And, oh yes, we have to be back by the end of July for the High Country Bus Festival at Grandfather Mountain.

I almost hesitate to sign our names at the end here for being know for such a hare brained idea. Lois is sure I am nuts. If we progress on this, I will keep the list informed.

Thanks
