anybody else driven their vanagons somewhat less than legally for any long length of time? anything come of it? Not a vanagon, but I was checking out an '81 Rabbit owned by a friend's aunt. It had no registration or plates or anything. We didn't go far, just went for a spin around the block to make sure it was okay and drove like it should, but all we had to show it was ours was the title, registered in his aunt's name. Nothing became of it, but I was worried. To this day I don't know what happened to that Rabbit, but it was lovely. GTI transmission -- the previous owner had blown the original one by towing it in first behind an RV. Sky blue and perfect shape. We were going to to do the four-headlight GTI grille conversion... :/ I'm afraid it went to someone who won't appreciate it for what it was. Sigh. - Jennifer -- ----- Jennifer - ncc876@yahoo.com ... knee-deep in the hoopla ... _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
