Your discussion of Egyptian beaches brought to mind a thought; namely, if any of you have the occasion to travel in Sicily, there are (were) wonderful beaches on the southern coast of the island, largely undeveloped, where I'm sure one could camp for extended periods. The area I'm referring to lies east of Pozzalo and to the West of Capo Passero (Porto Paolo).
