While I was out and about yesterday I spotted a very nice Vanagon Wolfsburg for sale.It is not mine, its at a local dealer, but the price is right. Its an 84 Wolfsburg non camper. It has the rear seat that makes into a bed, but nothing else. The body is very straight and has a new paint job. Interior is very nice with VW AM/FM/Cass, Tach and cordoroy fabric. Manual trans, watercooled. Speedo shows 164K. I pulled out a stack of receipts, one of the many shows over $2K to rebuild the engine and new heads. I found some for an Alternator, battery, belt, tune ups,etc.. I would say $4+ in all. I fired it up and found an exhaust leak on #3 but otherwise very strong and smooth. Overall I would say this Vanagon is an 8.5. Its only flaws I could find are as follows: Exhaust leak, small seam rust at right rear corner(easy fix), rear bumper is gray not chrome(but NEW) and a shallow dent at the bottom of the sliding door. Now for the important stuff, asking price is $2000 and its located near Tacoma WA. in Spanaway. If you are interested I can get you the phone #.
