>What we're talking about here, folks, is change. True, but I don't think all change is beneficial. This kind of change moves all manufacturing out of our country (apologies to others in far away places) and takes away those jobs, replacing them with low paying cashier and clerk jobs. It moves our money out of our system to overseas interests, and gives back nothing of long term value. The ability to buy a product inexpensively made elsewhere is nothing compared to the capability of building the product ourselves. I am aware that I am a crazy fanatic way off topic, but we won two really big wars because we were self sufficient enough to take care all by ourselves. The "walmart' senario insures that this will never work for us again. Of course walmart is not the only company doing this, but lets face it, whether we like it or not, we are watching our childrens futures being shipped over seas, and all we are getting back is a feeling that we are saving a few $$$$ and getting free camp sites <half a smiley here> Only said it because its friday, thank heaven :) John |
