Yesterday as I was picking through an 80 Westy at my local u-pull-it I found 2 vanagon snap on screens. One is for the rear hatch, it was in excellent condition and i paid $5 for it. The other screen which was made out of the same material as the rear hatch screen is a mystery. I thought it would be for the sliding door but it was not big enough to cover the sliding door area. I tried snapping it into place in several areas and it did not seem to fit anywhere. So anyone know what this screen may be used for? Is it really for the sliding door and I was'nt attaching it right? BTW, the westy I was looking at has many parts in excellent condition including 14 inch tires that look new (the spare is new), and bumpers in good condition. It is in Knowlton's auto garage off route 6A in Sagamore Massachusettes (Cape Cod). Thanks, Andrew Fox |
