The list is growing.! One more list member living in Texas is up for a camping trip. I believe he is from the Houston area. This still puts us camping somewhere between Houston and Dallas near the Highway 45 coridor. Anyother listees out there.? Any additional suggestions for camping areas.? These are the areas mentioned already: Possum Kingdom Lake (40 NW of Mineral Wells) Lake Whitney (60 Miles South of Dallas)Bardwell Resivour (Ennis 42 Miles South of Dallas)Purdis Resivour (Near Cedar Creek Lake off Hwy 175)Bardwell Resivour (Ennis Tx, nothing to rave about) Lake Murray Oklahoma (has airfield, lodge, resturant more of a resort but has good campsites)Turner Falls Oklahoma (this is really a great place if you have children,I'd check about sites first though)and Old Ft. Parker St. Park east of Waco. I know there are some great parks near Austin and over here in the East Texas area also. A central location would be nice so none of us has to drive too far. Hey the last VW gathering we attended had folks from Ontario, Canada, Santa Rosa,Calif, Orlando, Florida, Port Townsend, Washington (and places in between..!) We were able to find a central location... South Dakota.. It was great.! We look forward to planning and attending this get together...Suggestions..? Don & Susan Welch 91 Westy "Nobadays"
