Henry, do yourself a favour and replace the timing belt. After sitting for 5 years the belt could be dry rotted and if it breaks you are going to have some bent valves. It takes some special tools so you might want to take it to a VW specialist to get the job done right. Just FYI. I would hate to have you post to the list next week that your belt broke and now you are looking for a good, used head. Major bummer after getting the van running.
