I'm trying to tune up my freshly rebuilt 2 liter air cooled. I can't get it to breath correctly. I have disconnected the crankcase breather inlet, and aux air valve at the elbow but I still don't get what I consider good vacumn. 2 #s at idle at the throttle body and 6-7 #s at the distributor/ air distributor port. Shouldn't my idle vacumn be around 10-15 #s? Any ideas?
