No, not my bus, but i got a free Ghia- I just had to get it before the crusher got it. The body was perfect- just need some paint, wheels, engine ,tranny, seats.... so two years later i am driving it around the block is a quiet residental neighborhood- I had to check the brakes and transaxle, suspension. You know, the usual. But i had no windows and the doors were held closed w/ bungee cords. I put on my safety goggles and went for a drive. I got pulled over. Cop didn't want excuses. Gave me a fat ticket for driving without a windshield. A month later i'm in front of the judge. "Your honor- how do i check my brakes if i can't drive with out a windshield?" The judge responds "Mr Pollard, don't get caught." That was his answer.... all in all, i got a fix-it ticket- i just had to put a windshield in. Ok, back to work. m
