This may be an "unpopular" position, but that's never stopped me before. Just consider what I'm saying, then do as your conscious tells you.

Most of you know that I am in the RV business. I deal with campers every day, and most of the campers I deal with are either "full timers" (meaning they live "full time" in their RV), or 6 month "full timers" (meaning they live at least 6 months of the year in thier RV).

Volks, simply put, camping in Wall Mart parking lots, K Mart parking lots, rest area's and the like is simply "not safe".

Have I done it? Yep. Is it smart? Nope. Because nothing bad ever happened to me, should I keep doing it? Nope. It only takes "one" time. And I know all about the "I carry Smith and Wesson protection" excuse. Don't go there, that's a big loser.

my life is worth a lot more than the $20 or $30 bucks I'll pay for a campground site, and if I look around and do some advance planning, I'll pay less than that.

Again, I know the feeling of "afoot and light hearted, I take to the open road" from Walt Whitman, but sincerly, I like all who I have met on this list, and I'd like to keep you all around for a long time. Hell, your the only sane ones out there.

Ron Semko

Orlando, Florida

Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

|
