There was a bmw 2.5 liter turbo diesel for a couple of years; had decent performance for a diesel. I recollect that Ford bought the shortblocks from bmw and installed a few of them in the Turdbirds, 'er Thunderbirds, of that time...mid 80's? Early 80's?
