Huh? Remove dipstick? But thats in the engine compartment for checking the ATF level isn't it? All that comes out when I pull the dipstick is the little bit that sticks to that single street cleaning brush they give us to measure with. Am I missing something here? And how much on hand do I need? I'm going to buy Redine DF and that stuff ain't cheap. > >Mark Dorm wrote: > > > I know we can't drain all the fluid out of our vanagons automatic > > transmissions, but we when we open it up, how much do we need to have on > > hand to refill it? > > > > Is it 2 quarts, 3, or 4? or more? > > > > And where exactly do I look for this drain plug?
