I think (and hope) you're probably right. I started with the lifters at 1/2 turn on original assembly and tightened them to 1.5 turns after the 20 minute run in. I think the combination of the higher cam, and higher pressure oil pump must be affecting the valves closing correctly. Resetting the valve adjustment is next . Wish me luck!
