I tend to agree, although I am out looking because my vanagon is water
cooled, so I am not eligible for most of the popular engine swaps. The
only up-side to a corvair is more power. Beyond that, you are certainly
correct. Seems the best I can do is a new air cooled from SA which might
actually get me the extra power I seek to pull my small trailer
reliably.
