Sorry for the BW, but this is related. Seems like a superb vehicle in concept, especially the roomy interior for the *passengers*. From a driver's perspective, it definitely lacks the charisma of the Vanagon. But, what can compare? The passengers would have a blast in the MV face to face seating! Selfless as always (aspiration), HK needs space for growing familie. Need unquestioned reliability, safety, when hauling small HK units. These needs may drive purchase in the direction of a Eurovan. (Don't laugh) I saw a brand new one with a poptop. What a dreamboat! 200hp, alloy wheels, and a sticker of $31,000. Ouch. Didn't even attempt to beg to drive. I hate car salesmen anyway. That sparked interest in the line up though. So what about a 93 model? Priced from $6900-8500. I drove one yesterday, but am not sure whether to even make an offer. Auto tranny problems? Extremely heavy steering. It was not enjoyable to *drive* at all. Should this abort all consideration? The one I drove had 120K on the clock. Could be I need info, and tried to get on the Eurovan list, but could not subscribe due to tech fault or maybe its defunct. Would someone point me in the direction of a Eurovan specialist, or if any of you who know, is the auto tranny is fail prone? It shifted strangely to me, bucked the whole van a couple times. Owner of 7 years said no problems he knew of. Other problems inherent in the 93 era vans? (All I know about is the fuel lines recall from this list). Any info appreciated, thank you comrades, and I am still loyal -- just might branch out a bit
