Tony; Congratulations Tony! My first VW was a 69 Westphalia that was given to me by best friend. He was headed to California with his punk rock band and knew the van would not survive the trip. I woke up one morning , summer of 79, and found it sitting in the driveway. It looked like a twisted beer can, not a single straight panel on her. I put a couple pounds of Bondo on her and a new set of jugs and pistons, and toured the midwest. I sure due miss her. As for your problem look at the ground clusters behind the fuse panel. Also the headlight switch is barely up to the task. Check out my headlight relay modification on my web site.
