<Here is the problem. Coolant in the system, needle on <gauge cluster all the <way to the left and red light blinking. Where is the <sensor located? I <figure there is a wire off.

Very close (above and to the left IIRC)to the Temp II sensor you should find the coolant temp sensor -- looks like a small nail in a nut. There should be a single female spade connector attached to it. These tend to get loose and fall off or just lose contact due to looseness and dirt.

<2nd prob. Car will idle, and when I press the <accelerator pedal down, no <significant increase in rpm's...slight maybe to 2000 <rpms, but no more, and <the throttle is opening..I have watched it.

Oh boy, check the vacuum lines -- especially to the fuel pressure regulator, adjust the throttle position switch (or switches -- I think '84's came both ways), and check the AFM for starters. If the O2 sensor is connected and the engine is warmed up the O2 sensor could be wigging because it is expecting to read exhaust not fresh air.
