yes, i agree. in fact we all might agree that what they do has a bad side. But that's business and until this country/world starts over their is no turning around. In our town (about 50,000 pop) we have two hardware stores. One is an ACE store and the people have/are/continue to be rude to every person who isn't a contractor. The other store is really small and not much of a selection of anything. Yet they both are still in business. Home Depot is next to Wal-Mart. While their selection is awesome and we've used them extensively to rebuild our house, the other two lumber yards in town are still in business. I, like everyone else, had to travel miles to get materials before HD. They've just made my tripping easier.

So all said and done, I'm glad Wal-Mart is here. They offer good prices, wide selection and many people with lower incomes than I are better off in the long run. Oh, almost forgot, we had a Grand Union in town. Real ass holes. Rude to everyone and high prices for damn near everything. They were bought out by Shop and Stop who now charge even higher prices. Its a battle for my dollar. The best store wins.
