What we're talking about here, folks, is change. Yes, it's too bad that some small business owners are put out of business by operations like Wal-Mart. Probably not so bad that some of their former employees who leave to work for the big firm now have stock option plans, profit sharing, good medical insurance, and a retirement plan. Really too bad that the small business owner's now-vacant property is taken over by Starbucks, Papa John's Pizza, or any other of a number of businesses you could name. Think of it as commercial evolution. Times change; ya gotta go with the flow.

(I miss the old fashioned soda fountains they had when I was a kid...)
