Subject:      front end grinding noises
Content-type: multipart/alternative;

hi list, i have an 85 vanagon westie. i notice when i turn, i get a fairly noticeable 'grinding' noise. ive surmised from reading the literature, etc, that this is probably either my bearings or one of the (ball, j, cv?)joints down there. how can i go about determining for sure what needs to be replaced? the noise happens when i turn both ways, but is more pronounced when i turn to the left. thanks, steve & buster
