got it in and we went to hollister for a visit at the end of the syncro gathering on sunday. for all you driveshaft rebuilders, it drove well with the neapco joints. a bit of a shimmy at 40 mph, but not enough to pay attention to while driving (though at some point i will be getting it balanced; i didn't yet, so balancing might eliminate the shimmy altogether).

best thing, though: we went on some trails at hollister, and it is GREAT to do in a syncro. nothing overly hard core, but enough to make me appreciate the feel of four-wheel traction on those roads.

as if that wasn't enough, we got to see some killer syncros out there. john wessels' beast is pretty amazing. stands higher than ben tan's 16" unit (har har) by a pretty severe amount. my son was afraid of it...

nice to meet everyone i met out there, and thanks dan, warren, brian, and john for the chat and show. and to steve for organising the thing. we're coming down for the weekend next time!
