Most are but perhaps you are referring to Gas Plasma Display. Of the two LCD one is better (TFT?) and sharper but in any case two problems come to mind:

1. Frequency adaptation (TV signals to Computer screen issues)

2. Performance (ghosting & lag in 'phosphor' on LCD screen.)

I believe you should try an online search, using <http:/www.googl.com> perhaps.
