I am not going to defend Sears or anyone else for shoddy work. I buy their batteries, but put them in myself in the parking lot. I have bought tires and had them installed there and have taken them back for lifetime free rotation and balance. But, at the Sears where I have been, there was always a sign indicating they encourage customers to watch, and WATCH I do! I am in the waiting room only long enough to get a cup of coffee, and then back to the shop. The problems can start early. "How do you get this thing in reverse?". They may indeed not mention other things that need attention, because it was just a few years ago where they were in deep trouble for recommending work that DIDN'T need doing. Jerry |
