Just don't do what you see so often in show cars etc... putting them way down below speedo level and toward the centerline of the vehicle. For instance setting them into the big plastic heater cover. They will be useless there, as you will be risking an accident by looking at them whilst driving. Put 'em up by the instrument binnacle (either side, or mounted on top of it) or on the A-pillar. If on the pillar, mount them as close as possible to the bottom, or they will cause a blind spot.
