Okay, I just have to put this in. Dyson Oil Inc makes an oil that is a blend
of synthetic and dino and is 5W50, not 15W50, not 20W50, no I do mean 5W50.
This is incidently the same company that makes a product you'll find in
FLAPS called Blaster for loosening nuts. I called the company once and I was
asking the guy about fully synthetic, and I forget what exactly they had in
that, but to my recollection it wasn't 5W50 but maybe 10W40, he had some
book and he looked up "vw vanagon" and the oil he said he had (in full
synthetic) was only sold in gallon containers (I think it was 5 gallon
containers). He told me the primary focus of the company was on lubricants
for the trucking industry, and other large vehicles, motor homes, ect. I'll
have to call him back on the 5W50. The website of the company regarding 5W50
was indeed stating that this oil meant better gas mileage (it was included
in their list of attributes...)
