To really secure the sliding door panel so that it doesn't catch on the
frame and get bent/ripped, just put in one ot two sheet metal screws (with a
small washer to hold the fabric) at the rear of the panel.  This is not OE,
but the visual intrusion is minimal and the door is then substantially
kidproofed.
