Well, judging from the past VW Campouts there are several grougs of people. 1. Generic VW owner with wife and two kids, they need baseball diamonds, swim areas, bike paths and a tree to tie their dog to. 2. The younger VW owner who wants boat rental, water skiing, wind surfing / sailing. 3. Then you got the old guys like me who want, peace and quiet, fishing, good conversation a little seclusion so I can run my stereo up.

Since the three (or more) grougs seem to gravitate to individuals in their pier group the VW campout becomes more of a bunch of VWs in the same park. Which is OK but lacks any organization. I believe one group cookout is in order on the first evening, where everybody gets to exchange names and locate common personalities to buddy up with. It also offers late arrivals a break and a chance to grab a bite and have a designated meeting place for capturing kids, trading parts, pooling resources etc.

I'm not sure about the shelter prices but I'm guessing about $30.00 night, which although isn't a lot of money it should be a shared cost on a per family basis. Singles and families pay the same split.
