I agree they have to protect copyright rights, but coercing a guy who innocently made a very limited number of enthusiast hats for his mail list buddies to make any kind of settlement or royalty payment is simply wrong and mean spirited. A promise to stop should be enough, and usually is even in far more egregious cases.
