Well, my new VC arrived on Friday from Germany. Canada Customs threw me a bone (right after tax season) and opened my package, hummed at hawed at the receipt for the part (1204 DEM), and the box marked "Made in Austria" and sent it through without GST or duty. Nice of them!

So my total landed cost to my front door for my new VC was $887 CDN or about (or is that aboot) $570 USD. So I put it in the diff housing, cleaned off the dirt on the housing and mounted it back up into the van - only to encounter new problems.

Now my van won't start. No click of the solenoid, no engaging of the starter, no dimming of the lights, nuttin' (battery is still strong). Could it be the ignition switch? the fuel pump and all kicks in - it just doesn't seem to make it to the "start" part of the ignition switch. Wierd.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Keith
