Get the bilsteins over any other shock other than perhaps a pair of custom Ohlins and I am pretty sure you won't find an Ohlins application for a vanagon (they would cost more than many of our vanagons anyway). I bought Konis for our S6 and am very disappointed; they will come off, get sold, and replaced with bilsteins early next year.

In my opinion when it comes to bilstein vs koni/kyb et al it is not about which one is more expensive; it is simply about which one works adequately.

Regards,

Carl
