Last night my water pump decided to take a dive on me. Steam was everywhere after the coolant slung all over the warm engine, stunk too. Terrible smell, antifreeze.

I have another one ordered and will start extracting the old unit later this evening. I am paying 100 bucks for the new unit...is that a good price???

I have never done this procedure before on a vanagon and need any wisdom this list might offer.

I appreciate it in advance.
