Start at the rear of the engine and be sure you have a good connection at the pressure switch. It is located at the bottom of the crank pulley and can be reached from up top, but it's a PITA. If the connector comes off the switch so that you have an "open" circuit, then you get the solid buzzer and light. The intermittant nature of your problem suggests a loose connection. The most likely place is the connector at the switch. Then work forward from there. I have had to deal wityh this same kind of problem several times and though the causes were different each time, it always came down to the connector or the switch itself. Also don't forget the switch on the right side of the engine between the pushrod housings.
