Listees, I call upon your experience: What exactly happens if there is too much propane pumped into the propane tank? Where does it go? Does it escape through the vent on the regulator when you open the valve to pressurize the system? Could warmer weather lead to enough expansion that a full tank becomes overfull? Where would the excess go in that case? Why do I ask? Because last summer I lent my camper to my Dad to go to Nova Scotia and filled the tank before I took it to him. When I demonstrated how to turn on the propane it came pouring out of the regulator like crazy and did not seem like it would stop. Dad used his camp stove and a cooler instead and I ordered a new regulator. Now that I have one here to be installed I tried opening the valve again with the old regulater still in place...and everything seems fine, no leaks or venting or whatever it was. So what's going on? -- Miguel |
