Sorry! I should add a point of clarification. I have a syncro and my opinions are based on what's best for a syncro. Also, both the subaru and audi conversions were impressive as far as the power and match to the vehicle. The subaru comes on stronger in the mid range, but the audi seems to have an edge down low, to my limited memory, anyway! For a strictly highway machine, it would be tough to beat the 6 cyl. 240 hp subaru conversion. It was a beautiful, artful conversion without any loss of ground clearance. The power was dream-like, and smooth, but too much for optimum off road use, i believe. I think the price is about $7,000?? |
