Subject: ATTEMPTED FRAUD BY LIST MEMBER ADAM PUZEREWSKI: READ CAREFULLY
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
Hi folks,
I've attached a message from the guy who was so urgently looking
for a BA-6 heater yesterday. He replied back about 5 minutes after
I posted I had one for sale. In a major rush to get it etc. I also
had two other enquiries from longtime list members who I know fine.
Note that the message purports to be a PayPal payment confirmation,
buy hey, funny it comes >From: Puzerewski@msn.com. So I went to accept
the payment and lo and behold, nothing there. Why..... well because
when I told Adam to send the money I gave him my new email address, but
PayPal uses my old one. No way would it have accepted any payment, the
account simply doesn't exist. Strike two. You didn't really think I'd
ship without accepting the PayPal transaction, or at least checking it
did you?!
I've reported this to PayPal security, Adam's address is right below.
If someone would like to call the local police in Mt. Pleasant SC and
tell them I'm wanting to lay a charge of attempted fraud, with all
documentation available, please let me know and let me know how.
Failing that I will be calling them myself.
If anyone has done deals with him I hope it went better than my dealing.
If anyone in/nearby Mt Pleasant SC knows this guy give him one for me
(don't hurt his bus!) I'm pretty disgusted by this. Gary, the heaters are
yours, we'll sort out payment later. Finally, get this SOB off the vanagon
list forever!! Tim Smith

and here's Adam's copy of the usual paypal confirmation message........
