all,

I love my 85GL 1.9l sure it has its momets, leaky head heck I'll just make sure it does'nt get worse or warp the heads. But I have faith in my VW motor loving every mile I drive. and if something happens thats life

!!rebuild it!!

my 1.9 is little sure, but it takes me all over the place. pushing 70ish in 80+ heat. BTW it loves the heat, maybe its like its aircooled cuz'n. :) ** always giving it rest if needed ** pull over

Joe

Why on earth would I want to put a Subaru engine in my Vanagon? I can have everything it offers, and so much more, by using VW parts.

It's a rhetorical question. No need to answer.

why? hmmm reliability? what does the leaky vw wasserpisser offer? headaches and a empty wallet...and so much more (headaches) :<) it is rhetorical.. the subaru engine is a smarter choice.. if you can do the conversion, its well worth it. no need to answer :<) chris
