If only VW is allowed to sell officially “logo-ed” merch. than shouldnt we be popping all of the badges off of our buggies before we sell them? or is it just if we sell them at a profit? Or, what if we made a line of young and hip jewlrey out of old VW badges?, would this be legal? Here in NY city, I’ve seen downtown boutiques selling handbags with integral hubcaps mounted on the sides (one containing a 70’s style bus hubcap) proudly displaying the VW logo? Legal or not? (BTW they also have other makes) While I appreciate the lawyer-ific types who disseminate the legal info as it pertains to us on the list, a little plain english layman‘s terms would be helpful. when is a non VW person allowed to sell a logoed VW item legally? does in fact a situation exist where this is possible? inquiring minds want to know! BTW next time you watch Star Wars, look closely at the bottom of the Death Star ship. I destinctly saw a 1974 chevrolet van hubcap affixed to the underside. Or maybe the entire Death Star was manufactured by chevy!
