Cory, this has been addressed here a few times. The conclusion is that a syncro tank would require you to lift the body up an inch or so and i think that the starter (???) would interfere too. Basicially- no, not do-able within reason. On the other hand, you can purchase a 21 (20?) gallon 2wd tank from Ken Wilfey (www.vanagain.com). What i've been thinking of doing (but will probably never do...) is put in a few spun aluminum double walled fuel cells under the bus. These tanks are about 6" diamter and come in a variety of lengths. These are the tanks that baja bug folks use- but they cost a pretty penny. Ok, now back to work matthew
