NAPA sells some 1200 degree sheathing for electrical automotive wiring that is a conglomeration of silicone and fiberglass, but it's about $30 for a 12' roll. Opps, I forgot, we're working on a Vanagon, that's cheap!!! I reused my sheathing and saved the good NAPA stuff for the oil pressure and temp wires for the vdo gauges snaking down to the bowels of the crankcase.
