Surely. But there ARE those out there (eg Lostranger) who are willing to pay for an existing vehicle with a good conversion. As more people who want T3s, but know of their problems, find out about the available modifications, the number of buyers LOOKING for already-converted vans will grow. Not everyone wants an original vehicle. And the converted vans aren't generally being butchered... if bought in the future by a collector/restorer, they will be easily returned to stock.

I think it's the stock vans which are SeppukuVanagons... the VWBX does have a tendency toward suicide... the Japanese are in the best position to be able to save the poor German from the necessity of doing this...
