That seems silly.

Sure does, but that is a true statement the kit does not come with one.You ccan use your old one.

> Oxygen sensor too. Not included? huh?

Same as above

> 2) will the standard vanagon mufflers work?

Yes, they will work........we had to replace on the Synchro we did the conversion on do to bad shape. . > 3) what the difference in a muffler and tailpipe? The tailpipe is a seperate piece that attaches to the tailpipe...it is sold separate from the muffler

> 4) what is the muffler carrier? Are those the straps that hold the muffler > out of the mud? difference between the strap and muffler carrier? The carrier mounts behind the muffler more or less...the straps attach to it and the muffler...more or less...no flames or nitpicky corrections here please :)

> 6) are the old injectors needed? or does it come w/ new ones?

It does not come with new ones you have to supply your own.

> 7) auto tranny pan and fill tube? (only for auto conversions)

Can't help ya here ours was manual

> 8) timing and co? Can i do this or will i need a s shop's assistance here?

You can do it.

> > I'm a bit confused. So the TIICO is not a turn-key operation?? But more > like an 'improved' long block?

It is more or less turn-key............BUT they seem to have a tendency to short parts in the kit, and thus you have to wait to get stuff. REALLY sucks. Really goes into the car like it was made to go there.
