Subject: Re: how to get rear brake drums off?

I would advise to be real careful with "big hammer". Rear drums are made out of relatively soft metal and can be bent using hammer resulting in "pulsing" brake pedal actuation. If drum is stuck it is because of "rust weld" and i had to remove axle nut and hub to separate drum. Good time to grease bearings. Leon 85 Subwagen Westy
