Better send this before everyone is tired of reading these things...

Name: Brian Asbury

Age:31

Residence: Pass Christian, MS (small coastal town about halfway between New Orleans, LA and Biloxi, MS)

Place of Birth: Terre Haute, IN.

Marital Status: Very single (GWM, looking for similar that share the VW interest)

Pets: One dog (Lucy) mixed mutt who showed up in the wave of strays left after Hurricane Georges in '98.

Education: BA, Geography. MA, Organizational Management.

Occupation: Technical Writer for a major defense contractor.

Cars owned: 87 Vanagon Wolfsburg nicknamed "Goon" because it's big, funny looking and makes strange noises. Mostly just a weekend driver until I get a few more things fixed. Drive a Ford Ranger to work everyday, not because I like it but because it won't die no matter how much I abuse it.

VW History: Came home from the hospital in a 68 Bus, learned to drive on a 72 Superbeetle, owned a 73 Thing in high school. We're becoming a VW family again: parents have an 85 Vanagon and brother drives 2001 New Beetle.

Other stuff I do: Buying and selling on Ebay, spending weekends hanging out on the beach or in the French Quarter, trying to learn more about auto repair. VW collector for many years. I have a few hundred VW toys, dozens of sales brochures, manuals, promo tapes, posters etc. I'm saving up to buy a house so I will have room to display all this stuff.
