Age: argh...43

Birthplace: Glasgow, Scotland (escaped to Canada before immigration laws tightened)

Current location: living on a farm on the south shore of Patricia Bay, (north of Victoria on Vancouver Island)

Family status: still married...and have one 5 yr old son.

Occupation: part-time house husband/stay-at-home-dad, part-time contract fermentation manager at UVic.

Hobbies: tinkering with my van (of course), cooking, cider making, drinking, canoeing, drinking, riding (bikes - ca' 90 Schwinn "Kom S9", early 80's Rossin road bike "the sleek yellow beauty"), "woodworking", drinking, skiing, hiking, and drinking.

List history: joined in '94.

Vans: 1972 Westy. Parked, awaiting my attention, new engine? 1982 Westy. Bought it in '92, diesel engine whipped out and replaced with Digifant 1800 8V in April of '94. Has performed well all these years, still runs strong. Van now has 190,000 miles on the clock (engine swap 100k miles ago).
