Subject: Replacing PopTop Screen

Ignorance is bliss, I suppose! One day, on a beach in Mexico, I got fed up with the critters coming thru the holes in my pop top screen & decided to replace it then & there (!) with a fresh piece of fine meshed, no see 'em material.

Did the job by hand, with nothing more than a pair of sizzors, a box of straight pins, & a needle & thread. I just cut the old screen away from the zipper, then pinned the the screen into position, smoothing it out as I went, then sewed it to the edge by hand. Nothing to it! It took a couple hours. I sat on the edge of the upper bunk for most of the work. No need to make this job harder than it needs to be! I was bug free two hours later.

Give it a try, Phaedra '85 Westy Basecamp
