I am in a state of shock!! My son found a 90 or 91 Westy--automatic with alloys--with 18,000 MILES!! The owner has just gone in a nursing home and her daughter is supposed to contact me about possible purchase since she wants to sell her mom's home and get the Vanagon out of the driveway. It has not been driven in at least 3 years maybe longer. If I can buy it, I plan on flushing the brake system, trans fluid and filter, cooling system and gas tank. Is there anything else to do or concerns--like electrical I should be concerned with? The battery is sitting in the back floor and the front seats look like they have never been sat in. The outside has mold growing on it, but I think it will clean up great. Lynn Sheeley Knoxville, Tenn |
